Return & Refund Policy

This policy explains when and how you can request a refund for products purchased from Defne Studio Ltd. It applies in addition to your statutory rights under UK consumer law.
1. What We Sell
We sell digital products: software licenses, SaaS subscriptions (such as Dating Storm and Shopping Storm), online games, and related services. We do not ship physical goods, so this policy is written specifically for digital deliveries.
2. Statutory Cooling-Off Period
Under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations, consumers (not businesses) have 14 days from the date of purchase to cancel a contract for digital content provided that delivery has not begun. Because our products are typically delivered or activated immediately upon payment, by completing checkout you expressly consent to immediate delivery and acknowledge that the right to cancel is lost once the digital product has been downloaded, activated, or accessed.
3. Refund Eligibility
We offer refunds in the following cases:
- Product not delivered — if a payment is processed but the license, file, or access is not provided within a reasonable time and our support cannot resolve the issue.
- Product materially defective — where the software does not function as described and the defect cannot be fixed by a reasonable update or workaround.
- Duplicate or accidental purchases — if you accidentally purchased the same item twice and have not used the duplicate license.
- Subscriptions — you may cancel renewal at any time from your account dashboard. Refunds for the unused portion of an already-paid subscription period are at our discretion.
4. Refund Exclusions
Refunds are generally not available for:
- Products that have been downloaded, activated, used, or accessed.
- Subscriptions that you have cancelled after the renewal date but where the renewal payment has already been processed (you keep access until the period ends).
- Custom development work, paid setup, or migration services delivered as agreed.
- In-game virtual items, currency, or credits that have been consumed.
- Disputes raised more than 30 days after the original purchase date.
5. How to Request a Refund
- Use the contact form within 30 days of purchase.
- Include your order number, the email address used at checkout, and a clear description of the problem.
- Our support team will respond within two business days and may ask for further information.
- Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method within 5–10 business days. Bank or processor delays may apply.
6. Chargebacks
Please contact us before initiating a chargeback. We can usually resolve issues directly and faster than your bank can. Filing a chargeback for a transaction that does not qualify for a refund under this policy may result in suspension of your account and any associated licenses.
7. Your Statutory Rights
Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015 or other applicable consumer protection law.
